Hey studioververjv,
This usually happens if your website is using the Classic Editor instead of the new Block Editor. To fix this, go to your WordPress dashboard, click on Plugins, and check if there’s a plugin called Classic Editor. If it’s there, deactivate it. This should bring back the block editor, which allows you to type /heading and see the heading block option.
If that doesn’t work, you can also manually add a heading by clicking the + (Add Block) button in the editor and searching for “Heading”. Also, make sure your WordPress is up to date and try switching to a default theme, just to check if your current theme is causing the issue. Sometimes plugins or themes can block certain features. If you’re still having trouble, try turning off all plugins and then turning them back on one by one to find the problem.

If the Heading block is missing in your WordPress editor, try deactivating all plugins and switching to a default theme to rule out conflicts. Make sure you’re using the latest WordPress version and that your user role has proper permissions. Also, check the block inserter search, clear your browser cache, and look for any JavaScript errors in the browser console. These steps usually resolve the issue quickly.
Thanks, but when I manually try tp add heading by clicking the + (Add Block) button in the editor it is not listed there either. I can only edit it by changing the code. As I am not by any means a code expert, this is no solution.
What it did do when I first started to build my site, is that I bought a theme and imported it. I thought I could quickly build my own website with chatGPT. I could do that quite quickly with an html code, but then adjusting everything is always a hassle (when you don’t have experience). So I thought: let me switch to a WordPress theme via Transip. But the theme I bought also wanted me to buy Elementor Pro, so I thought: fuck you, I’ll go for a free WordPress theme. But then I couldn’t get that paid theme off my site. Which meant I couldn’t adjust certain pages anymore, because the old theme was still there. Then I’ve removed the theme, plugins and Elementor, but there were still certain pages on it. That’s when I just reinstalled WordPress all together to overwrite everything. But it looks like all plugins are still gone. Even with the reinstalment. Did I mess it up now?
