Access to education can create greater opportunity and financial stability, but for some parents, the cost of child care can stand in the way. At our Women Who Rock Scholarship Signing Day Ceremony, we celebrated our 2026–2027 recipients and welcomed them into a community committed to supporting their success. 🎓💙 By providing child care assistance, the scholarship helps parents continue their education while knowing their children are receiving safe, quality care. Each scholar’s journey represents an important step toward a brighter, more stable future for their family. Congratulations to this year’s Women Who Rock scholars. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make our Back-to-School Fair a success! Thanks to the generosity of our partners and the dedication of our volunteers, we were able to serve more than 300 individuals in our community, helping families prepare for a strong start to the school year. A special thank-you to Houston Food Bank for providing fresh produce, Community Health Choice for donating backpacks to support students as they head back to the classroom, and Wellby Financial for providing essential school supplies. Together, we're helping neighbors access the tools and resources they need to thrive and building a stronger community for all.

Join our community partner, Community Family Centers for a free United We Prepare Disaster Preparedness & Resilience Workshop hosted by Verizon and United Way of Greater Houston. Learn simple, practical steps to prepare your household, protect important documents and connect with resources available before, during and after a disaster. Participants will receive a free preparedness kit and an H-E-B gift card while supplies last. I'm honored to share that I've been selected as a recipient of the United Way of Greater Houston Women Who Rock Childcare Scholarship. Out of 81 applicants, 31 were selected to receive this scholarship and I am incredibly grateful to be among them. Balancing work, school, and motherhood isn't always easy, but opportunities like this make it possible to continue pursuing my educational and professional goals while providing for my family. A heartfelt thank you to United Way Greater Houston for investing in mothers who are working hard to build brighter futures for themselves and their children. I'm excited for what's ahead and committed to making the most of this opportunity. 💜
