Welcome MessageOrganising Chairperson, 21st Asian Chemical Congress (21st ACC) 2027

It is my great pleasure and honour to warmly welcome distinguished scientists, researchers, academicians, industry leaders, policymakers, and students from around the world to the 21st Asian Chemical Congress (21st ACC) 2027, held at the iconic Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), Malaysia.

With the inspiring theme, “Driving Chemical Innovations for Sustainable Future” this congress provides an exceptional international platform for intellectual exchange, scientific advancement, and meaningful global collaboration. The theme emphasizes the development and application of innovative chemical sciences that minimize environmental impact, promote human well-being, and support global sustainable development for present and future generations. Chemistry has always been a cornerstone of human civilization, continuously shaping the progress of healthcare, clean and renewable energy, environmental sustainability, advanced functional materials, agriculture, water purification, and emerging technologies that improve the quality of life for communities worldwide.

Today, more than ever, chemistry plays a critical role in addressing global challenges and accelerating progress toward the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030. Through interdisciplinary research, innovation, and international cooperation, we can develop transformative solutions that create a more sustainable, resilient, and inclusive future for humanity and society.

As Chairperson of 21st ACC 2027, I encourage all participants to actively engage in fruitful discussions, exchange innovative ideas, establish long-lasting collaborations, and inspire the next generation of scientific leaders. Beyond the scientific sessions, I hope you will also experience the rich culture, warm hospitality, and vibrant diversity of Malaysia.

I extend my sincere appreciation to all organizing committees, partners, sponsors, speakers, and participants for their invaluable support and contributions. I wish you a productive, inspiring, and memorable congress experience.

Welcome to Kuala Lumpur, and welcome to 21st ACC 2027.

Prof. ChM Dr. JUAN JOON CHINGFASc (Mal), FMIC (Mal), FRSC (UK), CChem (UK), CSci (UK)
