Glad to help.
Can you let me know the steps, starting from default WP install, to repeat the issue.
Something like
- Install WP
- Install/activate DG plugin
- Visit such and such page
- Perform some action
- Etc., until the issue happens
That will enable me to take a closer look and try to help asap, thank you.
Tbh, I just updated to Safari 18 and things fell apart. Until then, it was working fine.
Ok thanks. If you can provide the basic steps to repeat the issue, I can investigate and try to resolve asap, thank you.
Hmm, there’s no steps, Jeff. Just opening a post with Classic Editor activate spoils the layout.
I was researching the issue and, apparently, it’s not exclusively to your plugin. The official Classic Editor is also breaking on Safari 18 — there’s an issue over there as well.
Ok understood.
My setup still running Safari 17.6, but will try to update and take a look at version 18.
Thanks, Jeff! Btw, I noticed that it’s possible to update to Safari 18 without updating the whole macOS.
Yeah I was looking for an option to do that, but could not find anything.
I have upgraded to latest Safari and now can see the issue. Also it looks like that other thread you linked to has made some progress and shares some fixes for Safari users:
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/safari-18-0-breaking-classic-editor/
So gonna go ahead and mark this thread as resolved, and point anyone looking for a solution to the above thread.
If anything new comes up, feel free to post here (or start a new thread), thank you.
Just to follow-up with this, the next version of DG plugin includes a fix for the reported issue with Safari. Same fix as used in the Classic Editor plugin, basically adding a small snippet of CSS to the Edit screen. Version 3.2 should be available later today.
