Configuring a default editor

You can set up your favorite editor, such as Atom, to make changes to your project.

  1. In the upper-left corner of your screen, select the GitHub Desktop menu, then click Preferences.

  2. In the Preferences window, select Integrations.

  3. In the External Editor drop-down menu, select the editor you want to set as your default.

  4. Click Save.

  2. Click Options.

  3. In the Options window, select Integrations.

  4. In the External editor drop-down menu, select the editor you want to set as your default.

  5. Click Save.
