Upcoming opportunity to hear from the Chicago Alliance for Equity in Computer Science (CAFÉCS): In 2024, the fifth cohort of students graduated from the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) having fulfilled the computer science (CS) graduation requirement. Join CAFÉCS in person or online on August 13, 2024, from 4:00-5:30 pm CT for a celebration event to commemorate this milestone. We will share research about CPS efforts to increase the meaningfulness of CS experiences and the impact of the graduation requirement on expanding opportunities for students to pursue advanced high school and college computer science pathways. You will also hear from students and teachers about their experience in this path-breaking work to bring CS opportunities to all students.

NNERPP ANNUAL FORUM: 
The 2024 NNERPP Annual Forum takes place next week (July 24-26)! We couldn’t be more excited for the NNERPP community to gather again this summer! We’ll be in Richmond, VA, the home of NNERPP member and Forum co-host Metropolitan Educational Research Consortium. This year’s Forum theme is: "Public Education at a Crossroads: The Role of RPPs in Promoting Democracy.”
 
To all registered attendees: As you get ready for the Forum, be sure to check out the Annual Forum resources we shared in this week’s email if you haven’t done so yet! See you in Richmond next Wednesday!
