# Raw URL Encode

URL-encode a variable according to [RFC 3986][rfc-3986].

If you don't want forward slashes (`/`) to be encoded, use the [rawurlencode_except_slashes](/modifiers/rawurlencode_except_slashes.md) modifier instead.
