On the flag-waving effort EQUILIBRIVM, Anitta went above and beyond to laud the beauty and breadth of Brazilian music. More than a mere deluxe edition of the global pop superstar’s homegrown 2026 album, this second volume dutifully expands upon the original’s premise with an additional 17 tracks that further traverse axé, MPB and samba, among other regionally derived sounds. Part of what makes this passion project work so well is the trilingual artist’s years of drawing upon and participating in popwise forms from around the world, allowing her to infuse those wider influences into her vision here. That leads to unexpected yet cohesive cuts like the inventive samba ode “Ponta Do Pé” and the roots-indebted number “Tudo Isso”. Some of the guests who graced the first instalment return here, namely KING Saints for the reverent “Deus Mãe” and Los Brasileros for the percussive baile-funk grandeur of “Você Ja Sabe”. Others like Alceu Valença from Fortaleza and KBrum from Duque De Caxias are rightfully welcomed into the fold on the thumping “Não Me Cutuca” and “Sal Grosso”, respectively. Alexandre Carlo of the reggae fusion act Natiruts brings wisdom and vibes to “Abre Caminho”, another example of Anitta reaching across generations.
