Equipped with multiple cameras and detectors, the Titan Themis provides simultaneous information about position, bonding, and composition of atoms, and can be used to obtain nm-resolution 3D reconstructions and electric field maps.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/emc.rice.edu\/files\/2015\/11\/P1060401-22clvp0.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-257\" src=\"https:\/\/emc.rice.edu\/files\/2015\/11\/P1060401-22clvp0-632x842.jpg\" alt=\"P1060401\" width=\"519\" height=\"691\" srcset=\"https:\/\/emc.rice.edu\/files\/2015\/11\/P1060401-22clvp0-632x842.jpg 632w, https:\/\/emc.rice.edu\/files\/2015\/11\/P1060401-22clvp0-1020x1358.jpg 1020w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 519px) 100vw, 519px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Titan is not an entry-level microscope and users requesting training should have significant experience on other instruments.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Capabilities highlights:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Operates in TEM and STEM mode<\/li>\n<li>Image+probe Cs correctors for sub-A resolution in both TEM and STEM mode<\/li>\n<li>Ultra-bright XFEG gun<\/li>\n<li>Voltage tunable 60-300 kV, suitable for beam-sensitive samples<\/li>\n<li>Electron monochromator, ZLP FWHM &lt;0.2 eV\u00a0at all voltages<\/li>\n<li>High speed GIF ERS for large scale spectrum imaging and energy-filtered imaging<\/li>\n<li>Dual EELS capabilities<\/li>\n<li>High tilt holder for tomography &amp; reconstruction software<\/li>\n<li>Cathodoluminescence holder<\/li>\n<li>4K X 4K CMOS camera for fast large area imaging<\/li>\n<li>Super-X quad EDS detector for elemental analysis<\/li>\n<li>HAADF and triple DF\/BF detectors for simultaneous imaging in STEM mode<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Training:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Users wishing to be trained without taking the class should fill the\u00a0the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/emc.rice.edu\/files\/2015\/11\/FULL_THEMIS_APPLICATION-1f9itw5.pdf\">TITAN_THEMIS_APPLICATION<\/a> and send to Prof. Yimo Han (yh76@rice.edu), Dr Hua Guo (hg23@rice.edu) and Dr Wenhua Guo (whguo@rice.edu).
