New Maternity Leave Policy Offers Three Paid Weeks to New Mothers
The University System of Georgia (USG) has announced a new paid maternity leave benefit for eligible employees, effective July 1, 2026.
Paid maternal leave provides eligible employees who give birth to a child with three weeks (up to 120 hours) of paid leave to recuperate following childbirth.
Georgia Tech Career Center Launches CareerBuzz
CareerBuzz is a state-of-the-art interview and job posting management system. The CareerBuzz system enables students to upload resumes, search and apply for full-time, part-time, and internship positions, sign up for on-campus interviews, and more.

Title IX - Federal Law to Prohibit Discrimination
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 is a federal law that prohibits discrimination based on sex in education programs or activities that receive federal funding. Title IX states that: “No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.”
Inquiries about the application of Title IX and its implementing regulations may be referred to Georgia Tech’s Title IX Coordinator, to the Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Department of Education, or both.
