Continuum 2024.5 (v17.5.5) is a maintenance update to Continuum 2024.5 versions 17.5.0, 17.5.1, 17.5.2, 17.5.3, and 17.5.4 and is a free update for licensed users of Continuum 2024.5. It includes several important fixes and feature enhancements (see below). Fixes in Continuum 2024.5 v17.5.5 for FxPlug:
- Rare scenario can cause possible project corruption leading to failures when reopening saved projects
- Remove legacy registration form from installer - replaced by Boris FX Hub. (User data opt-in preference pane is still available.)

Continuum 2024.5 (v17.5.5) for FxPlug - Compatibility Notes:
While in general your previously saved projects should render identically in the newer version, bug fixes and quality improvements can sometimes change the look of older projects. While every effort is made to ensure project compatibility, the following notable areas may see some change to the look of previously saved projects.
- BCC+ Denoise ML now defaults to a new ML model. In most host old projects will open using the original older model, so would need to be updated manually. In some hosts the model might auto-update to the new default requiring manually resetting to the previous model if desired.
- BCC+ Audio Visualizer - Spin, Tumble, and Anchor Z where inverted from standard direction in the previous version and this has been corrected, but older projects saved with non-default values of Spin, Tumble, or Anchor Z will need their value inverted when opened in the 2024.5 or higher
- BCC+ Audio Visualizer - The Swirling radius boundary has been eliminated which may change the look of certain projects created in 2024.0.x versions
- BCC+ Transform now limits the Scale range to prevent image flipping with negative values, but projects saved with negative values may render different
Continuum FCP 2024.5 (v17.5.5) - Known Issues and Limitations:
- CO-8326 - The FX Editor window does not block access to the host UI while it is up which can lead to stability problems if you make adjustments in the host while the FX Editor is still open.
- CO-9391 - BCC+ Cross Processing and BCC+ Color Paste clamp in HDR
- CO-9370 - BCC+ Color Gradient - ND Brightness feature ignores alpha
- CO-10185 - FX Editor will show placeholder clips in situations where it is unable to fetch the correct image data from the host. This does not affect rendering and is limited to the FX Editor preview. Mostly commonly this occurs for transitions with inputs of mismatched sizes or for transitions where the effect has not rendered in the current session due to host caching from previous sessions. You can work around this by clearing the host cache or tweaking a param to force a render refresh and then relaunch the FX Editor.
- CO-10260 - Edge Mode repeat sometimes shows transparency instead of repeating the last lines of pixel around the edges in FCP
- CO-10231 - FX Editor shows transparency/black temporarily when scrubbing or widgets in transitions
- CO-11705 - BCC+ Mocha Parameter Tracking of clips trimmed on the front end requires first moving those trimmed clips into nested sequences in FCP
- CO-11779 - BCC+ Transform - Some geometries show more aliased filtering than expected
