- Particle Illusion - Preview flashes with some emitters when in 2D mode
- Particle Illusion - Free emitter emission isn’t 3D when camera rotated 90 degrees
- Particle Illusion - Single particles need line “connect to emitter” option available when “emit at points” is used
- Particle Illusion - Rotating Sphere emitter using attach to emitter not working as expected
- Particle Illusion - After adding multiple keys to position or angle graph, undo was incorrectly reverting them all at once instead of one at a time
- Particle Illusion - Adding a new position key using the graph is not correct - was not created at click point
- Particle Illusion - Super emitters with multiple free emitter nodes incorrectly all used the “random offset” value of the first free emitter node
- Particle Illusion - Position turbulence in super emitters randomizes for each free emitter
- Particle Illusion - Free emitters not using turbulence field zoom
- Particle Illusion - Free emitters not using turbulence Random Offset value)
- Particle Illusion - After scaling position path you can now click the “R” (reset) button and all position keys should be visible in the graph.
- Particle Illusion - Gradient editor controls misalignment
- Particle Illusion - When view selection is changed in position path preset dialog, key shortcuts stop working
- Particle Illusion - Make default position path presets dialog show more presets initially
- Particle Illusion - Resultant gradient incorrectly uses color repeat value even when not set to “Full Gradient”

Continuum 2024.5 v17.5.3 (BCC 17.5.3) for Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro was released on 9/12/2024.
ย
Continuum 2024.5 v17.5.3 for Adobe supports the following Adobe host applications:
macOSX 10.15, 11.x, 12.x, 13.x, 14.x (up to OS version at time of Continuum release and as appropriate for the host version in use). Continuum supports running natively on ARM64 native chipsets for After Effects and Premiere Pro versions which themselves support running natively on ARM64.
Note that the Machine Learning (ML) features require macOS 12 or higher.
- Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro CC 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 (up to versions released at time of Continuum release)
Windows 10 x64, Windows 11:
- Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro CC 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 (up to versions released at time of Continuum release)
ย
Additional Hardware and OS Requirements
- On macOS the Machine Learning (ML) filters require macOS 12 (Monterey) or higher
- On Windows the Machine Learning (ML) filters require a DirectX 12 capable device and either NVIDIA or AMD cards are strongly recommended.
- On Windows the BCC+ filters prefer NVIDIA or AMD cards for full GPU support
ย
Training:
Numerous resources are available for helping you get the most out of Boris Continuum Complete.
- Help documents for individual BCC effects are accessible directly from eachย plug-inโs UI in most hosts. ย The entire BCC Help Documentationย library is also available on the Boris FX website, including access to a downloadable version for browsing Offline BCC Help Documentation.
- BorisTV video tutorials cover a huge range of topics from introductions to the Fundamentals, to deep training Webinar Replays, to in-depth looks at ย key effects and techniques.
ย
Continuum 2024.5 v17.5.3 for Adobeย - Compatibility Notes:
While in general your previously saved projects should render identically in the newer version, bug fixes and quality improvements can sometimes change the look of older projects. While every effort is made to ensure project compatibility, the following notable areas may see some change to the look of previously saved projects.
- BCC+ Denoise ML now defaults to a new ML model. In most host old projects will open using the original older model, so would need to be updated manually. In some hosts the model might auto-update to the new default requiring manually resetting to the previous model if desired.
- BCC+ Audio Visualizer - Spin, Tumble, and Anchor Z where inverted from standard direction in the previous version and this has been corrected, but older projects saved with non-default values of Spin, Tumble, or Anchor Z will need their value inverted when opened in the 2024.5 or higher
- BCC+ Audio Visualizer - The Swirling radius boundary has been eliminated which may change the look of certain projects created in 2024.0.x versions
- Particle Illusion - Due to particle engine fixes and enhancements the randomization pattern in some projects may be different but the overall look and feel should remain the same.
- BCC+ Transform now limits the Scale range to prevent image flipping with negative values, but projects saved with negative values may render differently.

Continuum 2024.5 v17.5.3 for Adobeย - Known Issues and Limitations:
- CO-1298 - Mocha PixelChooser splines can renderย distorted or in the wrong location in filters that use “Avoid Clipping” or similar mechanisms to expand the source layer dimensions. ย As a workaround the layer expansion should be done prior to the effect in a precomp.
- CO-2296 - The Hide Disabled Parameters preference exposes host-side UI refresh issues in AE and Premiere. ย We are working with Adobe to resolve these issues. ย As a workaround the Hide Disabled Parameters preference can be disabled to revert to “graying out” parameters instead of hiding them.
- CO-2344 - Title Studio - projects with Cinema 4D files that reference host tracks as textures can causeย slow or stalled refreshes in Premiere.
- CO-6682 - Optical Stabilizer does not stabilize correctly on trimmed clips in Premiere
- CO-8858 - Particle Illusion - Ae does not refresh renders if PI is using mask / text via mask picker menu and the mask on an alternate layer is changed. (Change a param or purge cache to force refresh.)
- CO-9391 - BCC+ Cross Processing and BCC+ Color Paste clamp in HDR
- CO-9370 - BCC+ Color Gradient - ND Brightness feature ignores alpha
- CO-10220 - BCC+ Crash Zoom Dissolve - angle animation is not as smooth as it should be
- CO-11705 - BCC+ Mocha Parameter Tracking of clips trimmed on the front end requires first moving those trimmed clips into nested sequences in Premiere
- CO-11779 - BCC+ Transform - Some geometries show more aliased filtering than expected
- CO-11328 - BCC VR Blur can cause clip to become black
- CO-12020 - Mocha Param Tracker appears to track correctly in interlaced projects, but rendered point locations are incorrect. As a workaround you can track in a progressive version of the clip and export/re-import the tracking data in the interlaced timeline, or temporarily convert the project to progressive while tracking and then convert back to interlaced.
- CO-12056 - AE - BCC+ Lens flare occlusion region is not correct when applied to a text layer. Precomping test layers before using occlusion layers is recommended as a workaround.
- CO-11954 - A small number of Title Studio presets render incorrect results at 4k or higher
- CO-12370 - BCC+ DeNoise ML and BCC+ UpRes ML either render black or crash on Intel GPUs
