VIRTUAL BROWN BAGS
WHEN: Friday, March 26, at 3 pm ET / 2 pm CT / 12 pm PT
PRESENTERS: Jenn Ash, National Center for Rural Education Research Networks (NCRERN), and Dave Hersh, Proving Ground
TOPIC: Special guests Jenn Ash and Dave Hersh will share their experiences and insights about conducting partnership work with rural districts. The brown bag will be organized around three challenges to conducting research partnerships in rural settings (small sample sizes, costs and challenges of obtaining data, and a lack of rural-specific interventions) and how NCRERN’s approach addresses each one. The talk will include practical advice for launching a rural-focused research-practice partnership and will include time for questions and answers.
ABOUT NCRERN & PROVING GROUND : The National Center for Rural Education Research Networks (NCRERN) is a network of small, rural school districts operated by Proving Ground and aiming to build the capacity of education agencies to undertake evidence-based continuous improvement in rural schools and districts. Proving Ground is an initiative of the Center for Education Policy Research at Harvard University that works with local and state education agencies around the country to build their capacity to select, pilot, test, and scale solutions to problems they identify.
