Funding opportunity: William T. Grant Foundation is now accepting applications for its Research Grants on Improving the Use of Research Evidence program.

From the program overview: “This program supports research on strategies to improve the use of research evidence in ways that benefit young people ages 5-25 in the United States. We want to know what it takes to produce useful research evidence, what it takes to get research used, and what happens when research is used. We welcome letters of inquiry for studies that pursue one of these broad aims.” >> Learn more here!

Major research grants range between $100,000 and $1,000,000 and cover two to four years of support. Officers’ research grants range between $25,000 and $50,000 over one to two years.

The next deadline for applications is January 12, 2022. 
VIRTUAL BROWN BAGS

This week, we heard from Erin Henrick, Felicia Sullivan, and Kelly McMahon, who introduced participants to their “Partnering for Instructional Improvement Framework,” which aims to help RPPs structure their collaborative learning to support instructional improvement equitably at scale. Erin, Felicia, and Kelly walked participants through the four dimensions identified in the framework that characterize RPPs by their commitments, structures, expertise, and social learning, and facilitated a discussion about these dimensions and remaining questions.
