In “Examining Complexity in Student Homelessness: The Educational Outcomes of HISD’s Homeless Students,” Alexandra Pavlakis, Meredith P. Richards, J. Kessa Roberts, and Mark Pierce study the relationship between homelessness and a range of student outcomes by family and residential context.

REGIONAL EDUCATIONAL LABORATORIES PRODUCE COVID-19 RESOURCE COLLECTION

The “COVID-19: Evidence-Based Resources” page is a collaboration among the RELs to share evidence-based resources and guidance in response to COVID-19.

REL MIDWEST TO HOST WEBINAR ON COMPETENCY-BASED EDUCATION

The “Implementing Competency-Based Education Strategies: From Research to Practice” webinar on Wednesday, May 6, will share how competency-based education strategies can positively impact student learning outcomes and how they can be implemented, including in online learning programs.

FUNDING OPPORTUNITY

The Spencer Foundation is announcing a call for applications for a COVID-19 Related Special Grant Cycle to support education research projects that seek to understand the rapid shifts and contribute to the improvement of education during this time of crisis.
